Stabilization of the M.J. Dogan House
An iconic sight at the corner of Lee Highway and Groveton Road, the Manassas Battlefield Trust has pledged $275,000 to analyze and stabilize the historic M.J. Dogan House. These critical phases have been completed, with the project’s final phase completely restoring the house’s exterior.

Recreation of Historic Fence Lines
Period fences are an important visual of the historic landscape. The Trust assist the park expand and maintain its historic fencing with the generous support of our members.
Artillery Restoration
The Manassas Battlefield Trust successfully funded an artillery restoration project that presented unexpected costs to the park. We are now raising funds to restore two Civil War-era Howitzers relocated from the Fairfax County courthouse grounds to the battlefield.
Other Accomplishments
Added General Fitz John Porter’s dress sword to the permanent collection of Manassas National Battlefield Park.
Hosted an 'Adopt-your-Battlefield' campaign to support significant cultural landscape maintenance projects.
Supporting the interests of the National Park Service on both the I-66 expansion project and the discovery of soldier's remains on the battlefield.
Raised funds to repair damages done to the Park during a government shutdown.
Held Marathon to share battlefield history with the runners.
Hosted historian, naturalist, and community programs, to support Manassas National Battlefield Park.
Held an annual "Christmas 1862" event, inviting living history to the Stone House, telling the story of Christmas during the Civil War.
Secured a $150,000 Virginia Battlefield Protection Fund grant in partnership with the American Battlefield Trust to preserve battlefield land.
Established a 'Monument Preservation Fund' to help the park preserve monuments on the battlefields.
Insured and protected artifacts on loan in the park Visitor Center.
