Join authors Kevin Pawlak and Dan Welch for a signing and presentation of their new book, Never Such a Campaign: The Battle of Second Manassas, August 28-30, 1862. Kevin and Dan will speak about revisiting this significant battle, and the discoveries they made in the process.

Where? 

The Winery at Bull Run - 15950 Lee Hwy, Centreville, VA 2012

The program will be held in the Barrel room at the Winery at Bull Run, next door to the battlefield. Wine will be available for purchase.

Kevin Pawlak is a Civil War historian and author specializing in the history of the Eastern Theater of the American Civil War. He has written extensively about the Battle of Antietam and its related campaigns. Pawlak serves as a Licensed Battlefield Guide at Antietam National Battlefield and has also worked with the Mosby Heritage Area Association and the Prince William County Historic Preservation Division. His work often focuses on the experiences of soldiers and civilians during the war, bringing to light lesser-known stories and providing detailed analyses of significant battles and campaigns.

Dan Welch is a historian and author known for his expertise in the American Civil War, particularly focusing on the Battle of Gettysburg and the broader campaigns of the Eastern Theater. He has served as an educator, battlefield guide, and speaker at various historical sites and institutions. Welch's work includes contributions to several books and articles on Civil War history, as well as involvement in educational programs and historical preservation efforts. Dan’s research often highlights the experiences of soldiers and the strategic implications of key battles and events during the war.
